Rotarian Jessica Putnam during Trash Pickup Earth Day 2018
ROTARIANS TO HELP WITH ROADSIDE CLEAN-UP IN NAPLES & BRIDGTON
Rotarians will help with roadside trash pickup in Naples and Bridgton in honor of Earth Day. On Thursday, April 22, at 9:30 am, they will assemble at the Bridgton Community Center to work on Depot Street and in Pondicherry Park. On Saturday, April 24, at 9:30 am, they will assemble at the Lake Region High School parking lot in Naples. If you would like to join us either day, contact Rotarian Carol Madsen at carjmad@hotmail.com.
Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club President Julie Forbes explained that the Club has a new Environmental Committee. “We’ll have a series of speakers over the next few months addressing environmental issues of interest to members and the community in general. On Thursday, April 22, at 7:30 am, Earth Day, Helena Ives from EcoMaine will address the Rotary Club via Zoom. If you would like to attend, contact Rotarian George Szok, gszoksbox@gmail.com for the link. Additionally, we plan to take on more outside activities like trail cleanup over the summer and fall months. It's a great time to be a Rotarian!"
